In this blog I would like to demonstrate the setup of a car damper model, to demonstrate how Simcenter Amesim works.

In Sketch Mode we design the above model with components from the Libraries Signal, Control and 1D Mechanical (Figure 1).

In Submodel mode we set for every component the submodel type.

After that, we must specify the physical parameters of the problem at the Parameter Mode.

After the run we can depict the behavior of a variety of different parameters (Figure 2-3).
